In 1999 Alex joined Sportal, a European dotcom startup, where he was head of advanced technology development.In 2003 Alex was involved in The Cloud (wifi Aggregator, sold to Sky in 2010).

of AUC’s Distinguished Alumni Award, Ahmed Zahran ’02 holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from AUC, a Master of Science in economics from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, a diploma in philosophy and literature from the European College of Liberal Arts in Berlin, and a certificate in social entrepreneurship from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from AUC, Zahran worked in Tunisia for two years as a financial planning analyst for Shell’s gas distribution activities.

He then worked with Shell Trading in London as a finance adviser for the European Emissions Trading System.

Upon returning to Egypt, Zahran worked at the Egypt Kuwait Holding Company as the business development manager for renewable energy and clean development mechanisms, establishing the company’s carbon trading and renewable energy business.

Alessio, now as a single-founder, was responsible for product/tech, marketing, community, financing, and HR in the early days of the company.

Being a product guy, he nowadays keeps his focus on product, strategy&vision and [email protected] Adam is the co-founder and principal artist of Prezi.He created the very first prezis in early 2000 for his personal projects and he is still a pioneer in visual storytelling and conversational presenting.Prior to serving as CTO, he led the Facebook Platform team and, as an engineer, built the initial infrastructure for news feed and the first generation of the company’s advertising targeting and delivery systems.Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the California Institute of [email protected] Alex Caccia is an entrepreneur with start-up experience in media, technology, manufacturing and a background in finance and investment banking.
